The college is looking to hire a faculty member to provide quality instruction, support student success, and engage in professional development and community outreach.
Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to area of instruction
- Specialized certifications required for the class being taught as indicated in the Curriculum of Record (COR)
- Experience with Learning Management System (e.g. IvyLearn)
- Knowledge of contemporary pedagogy, digital technology, and other technology related to teaching
- Certifications such as SACA, Fanuc, NIMs, and OSHA
- Experience with technology tools for academic advising and student engagement
Responsibilities
- Deliver assigned classes using pedagogy and technology that best support student learning
- Develop and maintain curriculum and supporting course materials
- Use Learning Management System (e.g. IvyLearn) to facilitate teaching, learning, assessment and communication
- Implement emergency and safety procedures for classrooms, labs and all learning environments
- Provide academic-related coaching and academic monitoring to assigned student advisees
- Participate in professional development activities to advance instructional and technical skills
Other
- Must have a baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution
- Two or five years of directly related work experience
- Must attain and keep active all certifications needed within all classes instructed
- Must conduct all activities with an appreciation, respect, and promotion of diversity of people, styles, and views
- Must be willing to participate in community service activities and college/campus-wide meetings
