Terex Utilities is seeking a FAI Coordinator to ensure that newly designed or revised components and assemblies meet all specified requirements before production release by managing the coordination, documentation, and execution of the FAI process.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in quality assurance or inspection roles within a manufacturing environment.
- Basic understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Knowledge in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP and quality management systems (e.g., SAP, Plex, NetSuite) is a plus.
- Working knowledge of FAI processes.
- Experience with standard inspection tools and techniques.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and lead all First Article Inspections for new or modified parts, assemblies, and products.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and change orders to determine inspection requirements.
- Create and maintain FAI documentation packages, including dimensional reports, material certifications, and inspection records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain) to gather required data and ensure timely execution of FAIs.
- Perform or coordinate dimensional and visual inspections using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, CMMs, and optical comparators.
- Maintain FAI database, logs, and records to ensure traceability and compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action processes for non-conforming first articles.
