Requirements
- Experience with computer programming languages like: Python, SQL
- Familiarity with programming languages like: Spark
- Experience with data streaming – real time processing of data (to convert or transform it)
- Experience with Airflow, Python, DBT, Databricks, Kafka, and working in cloud-based environments
- Specialization/minor in data analytics or engineering
- Prior classroom or workplace experience in data engineering
- Ability to communicate technical concepts simply, to both technical and non-technical audiences
Responsibilities
- Help unlock the full potential of FanDuel's vast amounts of real-time and relational data
- Provide the business with insight and delight customers with a world-class personalized experience
- Help turn every click, bet, touchdown, fumble, and play into a real-time stream of knowledge
- Feed data to online applications, data scientists, and analysts
- Organize, model, and present data as a coherent product
- Offer data to the business, providing a common information framework
- Build data pipelines, create data models, ensure data quality, and deliver solutions to real-world data problems
Other
- Must be planning for program or degree completion between August 2026 – June 2028
- Must be pursuing studies in a field related to data engineering, data analytics, engineering, computer science, management of information systems, or another comparable discipline
- Must have U.S. Work Authorization and does not require employer sponsorship now or in the future
- Must be within a commutable distance from the office or willing to relocate to designated office
- Must be willing to be in office 2+ times per week
