RTX is looking for a Fellow – Infrastructure Architecture to be a technical leader and expert across all of RTX, focused on infrastructure architecture practices and solutions. The goal is to develop architectural solutions and standards that meet RTX customer and business needs, supporting RTX Digital Technology architecture strategy and execution, with a focus on Automation - Infrastructure as Code.
Requirements
- Minimum 12+ years of large-scale solution architecture or enterprise architecture experience
- Minimum 12+ years of experience in Infrastructure as Code or automation or related technologies
- Subject matter expertise in Automation and Infrastructure as Code practices – Experience as a thought leader in infrastructure automation, shaping enterprise strategy and guiding long-term investment in automation platforms and practices.
- Proficiency in architecting scalable automation frameworks and enterprise standards for provisioning, configuration, patching, and lifecycle management across hybrid environments (cloud, on-prem, edge) utilizing infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and declarative configuration models.
- Advanced Infrastructure Architecture certifications, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Enterprise Architecture certifications, Business Architecture certifications, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Global Identity Management certifications, Infrastructure-as-Code and automation development practice certifications, SAP or equivalent ERP enterprise systems certifications, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Responsibilities
- Be an RTX technology leader. Lead cross functional architecture efforts to deliver solutions for RTX customers and business needs.
- Be the technical expert in identifying business problems that achieve strategic outcomes through application of infrastructure architecture, practices, assessments and models.
- Develop architectural artifacts, standards, and roadmaps.
- Mentor engineers and architects to ensure successful implementation of strategy and architecture.
- Continuously learn; Update architecture and standards based on shifts in business needs and technology innovation.
- Lead technical proof of concepts/proof of value to validate architectural and technology decisions.
- Support engagements with RTX Business Units, including developing technical solutions for current and future challenges.
