General Motors is looking to solve business problems related to financial analysis and decision making within Product Development, including engineering and future vehicle programs.
Requirements
- Highly proficient personal computer skills especially Microsoft Excel, and Powerpoint
- Experience with Power BI
- High level of analytical ability, problem solving capability, and attention to detail
- Ability to draw conclusions from incomplete or ambiguous data
- Ability to prioritize assignments/projects and multi-task within restricted time constraints (Fast/Responsive)
- Ability to clearly communicate (verbally and in writing) the financial implications of different incentive programs, including communication to key stakeholders and senior leadership
- Strength in interpersonal skills to work effectively on cross-functional teams
Responsibilities
- Utilize pertinent financial data from multiple sources and perspectives to recommend decisions
- Benchmark financial assumptions across portfolio and against competition
- Develop and utilize financial modeling techniques to evaluate business opportunities using sensitivity and scenarios to quantify risks and opportunities
- Identify new value-added analysis to improve decision making
- Build relationships and collaborate with other functions and business units for optimal enterprise decisions, anticipate downstream impacts of new strategies
- Relate assignments to business objectives and results, integrate with business purpose
- Proactively work to resolve issues and move project tasks forward
Other
- Bachelors with a major in finance, accounting, economics, business or related
- 2+ years of experience in finance or accounting
