3M is looking for an IT Finance Business Analyst to align IT financials with business objectives and operational strategies, optimize IT spending, and support strategic decision-making for new IT initiatives.
Requirements
- Proficiency in financial management tools such as Excel, SAP, or Oracle Financials
- Strong understanding of financial management concepts, including CapEx vs. OpEx
- Proven experience in developing and executing project plans with minimal supervision
- experience in IT finance or within a technology environment
- familiarity with financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the IT Business Management Leader to develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans
- Monitor and analyze IT operating and capital expenditures, including variance analysis for hardware, software, personnel, and third-party services
- Support the development and maintenance of cost allocation models across IT departments
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for IT leadership and corporate finance teams
- Assist with vendor invoice processing, contract analysis, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies
- Support the development of business cases for new IT initiatives or investments
- Provide financial modeling and scenario analysis to inform IT strategy and decision-making
Other
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in finance or accounting within private, public, government, or military sectors
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Hybrid work environment with flexibility for remote work and travel to St. Paul, MN or Austin, TX
