Agile Defense is looking for a Financial Data Analyst to support the US Marshals Service with financial analysis and reporting, specifically addressing needs in budget monitoring, travel card delinquencies, and vendor payments.
Requirements
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and strong experience with data query/database management, financial and accounting (especially federal accounting) knowledge is required; strong experience with SQL, Business Objects, Power BI extremely helpful.
- 2+ year(s) of Federal financial experience
- Experience with CGI Momentum or UFMS
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Microsoft PBI or Tableau
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics/ or Business Information Systems
Responsibilities
- Conduct forensic data analysis to uncover and analyze data trends, patterns, and forecasts, explaining processes and techniques, recommend actions, and provide accurate and reliable responses to program and executive-level inquiries
- Identify, query, analyze, and produce monthly/quarterly data metrics, as well as intra and inter-agency benchmarks and reports
- Coordinate, execute, and aggregate data calls for program managers and Financial Services Division (FSD) executives
- Understand and facilitate the integration of business processes, people, and relevant technology, in order to identify, configure, and communicate useful information
- Provide timely, relevant and accurate reporting and analysis of Division and District performance against historical, budgeted, forecasted and strategic planning results
- Create monthly and quarterly dashboards, providing a high-level financial overview of the organization to FSD leadership
- Automate business and IT processes for both answering data calls
