Akkodis is seeking a Firmware Engineer to address SSD firmware issues for a client.
Requirements
- Hands-on expertise in triaging SSD firmware issues and working with tools like Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong programming skills in Python and hands-on experience with SSD firmware testing and failure analysis.
- Deep understanding of storage interfaces (PCIe/NVMe, SATA, SAS) and experience with tools like Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze failures from daily and weekly SSD firmware validation runs, performing first-level triage.
- Assign and track issues by filing Firmware and Test bug JIRAs and following up on resolution progress.
- Collaborate with test developers and execution teams to rerun lab and environment failures and validate fixes.
- Utilize Git for version control, including Branch management, merging, and conflict resolution.
- Develop and maintain Python-based test automation scripts and integrate with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Bitbucket.
- Apply domain knowledge of SSD interfaces (PCIe/NVMe, SATA, SAS) and NAND flash to support firmware validation and debugging.

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience in firmware development and validation.
