Collins Aerospace is seeking a Firmware Engineering Intern to join their Protected Communications Systems Hardware Engineering Department to create solutions using Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), System on Chip (SOC), and Complex Programmable Logic Devices (CPLDs).
Requirements
- Coursework, projects, or experience with FPGAs, VHDL, and SystemVerilog
- Programming experience with C, MATLAB, and scripting languages
Responsibilities
- Register Transaction Level (RTL) design of components used in configurable logic devices
- Testbench development and simulation using Universal Verification Methodology (UVM)
- Generation and updates of engineering documentation
- Constraint creation for FPGAs, SoCs, and CPLDs
- Document and code reviews
- Test and Evaluation of product hardware and evaluation boards using lab equipment
Other
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Prior leadership experience
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
