Premier Truck Rental (PTR) needs a Fleet Product Manager to ensure their rental fleet and services meet customer needs and drive business success by acting as a bridge between customer needs, market trends, and the company's rental fleet and services.
Requirements
- 3-5 years in product management, business analysis, or a related field, in logistics or supply chain.
- Strong analytical abilities, data-driven decision-making, and an understanding of market research techniques.
- Ability to identify gaps in utilization and create strategies to improve market adoption.
- Understanding of equipment or product specifications (or a willingness to learn quickly).
Responsibilities
- Researching industry trends, customer demands, and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for fleet expansion or optimization.
- Determining the right mix of equipment types, sizes, and features to meet customer needs and maximize rental utilization.
- Developing strategies for equipment acquisition, maintenance, and disposal to minimize costs and maximize return on investment.
- Setting competitive rental rates based on market conditions, equipment demand, and cost considerations.
- Understanding customer pain points and unmet needs to identify opportunities for new rental offerings or service enhancements.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to develop innovative solutions that address customer needs and differentiate the company from competitors.
- Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) such as rental utilization, revenue, and customer satisfaction to assess the success of product strategies.
