Marriott is looking to build and apply key analytical models, production processes, and solutions to enhance data-driven methods and analytics for MARRIOTT MEDIA, Marriott’s fast-growing media network.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with SQL for data analysis and modeling
- Additional experience with Python or R preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and causal inference techniques
- Deep knowledge of core measurement science concepts: experimentation and measurement frameworks (A/B testing, matched market, Marketing Mix Modeling, causal inferences, etc.)
- Strong experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
- Familiarity with marketing attribution models, customer segmentation, identity resolution, and CRM platforms
- Experience in digital media advertising reporting and technology (including on/offsite advertising reporting, DSPs, ad serving/data technology, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Develop advanced statistical models and measurement methodologies to evaluate marketing effectiveness and campaign performance
- Regularly validate all MARRIOTT MEDIA measurement and campaign performance
- Devise and utilize algorithms and models to mine big data stores, perform data and error analysis, and clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy
- Collaborate with Data Engineers to identify relevant data sources and ensure robust data pipelines for modeling and analytics
- Design and implement ML/AI algorithms and work with Data Engineers to apply algorithms to production
- Conduct deep-dive exploratory data analyses to uncover insights and opportunities for business optimization
- Translate complex modeling outcomes into clear, actionable insights for marketing, media, and partner stakeholders
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field
- 5+ years of professional experience in data science, analytics, marketing analytics, or a related field
- Excellent project management and verbal and written communication skills required
- Proven ability to communicate complex findings clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders and executives
- Education and Experience Preferred: Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field such as Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Economics
