Marriott is looking to build and apply key analytical models, production processes, and solutions to enhance data-driven methods and analytics for MARRIOTT MEDIA, Marriott’s fast-growing media network.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with SQL for data analysis and modeling
  • Additional experience with Python or R preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and causal inference techniques
  • Deep knowledge of core measurement science concepts: experimentation and measurement frameworks (A/B testing, matched market, Marketing Mix Modeling, causal inferences, etc.)
  • Strong experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
  • Familiarity with marketing attribution models, customer segmentation, identity resolution, and CRM platforms
  • Experience in digital media advertising reporting and technology (including on/offsite advertising reporting, DSPs, ad serving/data technology, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Develop advanced statistical models and measurement methodologies to evaluate marketing effectiveness and campaign performance
  • Regularly validate all MARRIOTT MEDIA measurement and campaign performance
  • Devise and utilize algorithms and models to mine big data stores, perform data and error analysis, and clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers to identify relevant data sources and ensure robust data pipelines for modeling and analytics
  • Design and implement ML/AI algorithms and work with Data Engineers to apply algorithms to production
  • Conduct deep-dive exploratory data analyses to uncover insights and opportunities for business optimization
  • Translate complex modeling outcomes into clear, actionable insights for marketing, media, and partner stakeholders

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field
  • 5+ years of professional experience in data science, analytics, marketing analytics, or a related field
  • Excellent project management and verbal and written communication skills required
  • Proven ability to communicate complex findings clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders and executives
  • Education and Experience Preferred: Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field such as Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Economics
