Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking a Flight Engineering Manager to lead the Loads and Dynamics team in Flight Sciences, supporting the entire airplane life cycle and driving technical excellence through leadership and collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in Engineering.
- 1+ years of experience in leading or managing an engineering team.
- 5+ years of experience within flight engineering fields.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Aeronautical, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience leading or managing an engineering team in flight engineering fields.
- Experience working with regulatory agencies.
- Experience in aerospace engineering design concepts process and techniques.
Responsibilities
- Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Flight Engineering, External Loads and Dynamics.
- Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
- Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
- Supports the advancement of Loads and Dynamics discipline core competencies and technical excellence.
- Facilitates and promotes collaboration and sharing of knowledge, best practices, and experience.
- Develops both the individuals and the team through multiple engagement mechanisms.
