The Boeing Company is seeking Flight Simulation Software Engineers to join the Flight Simulation Labs team to support the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization. The roles will involve software development for tools that support simulation infrastructure across Flight Simulation Labs, including creating core simulation infrastructure, developing tools to simulate, monitor, and capture messages between subsystems, and modeling various aircraft capabilities.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience programming in C, C++, C-Sharp, Python, Java, or Ada (or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience)
- 2 + years’ experience as a Software Engineer
- Knowledge of basic networking principles
- Experience working on an Agile team using Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira
Responsibilities
- Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems
- Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system
- Supports development of simulation environments to supporting testing performed by Mission Systems engineers
- Works on an agile team in order to accomplish team goals
- Executes and documents software research and development projects
- Creating core simulation infrastructure to serve as a jumping-off point for programs developing flight simulation capabilities
- Developing tools to simulate, monitor, and capture messages between subsystems in a lab environment

- This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
- This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance (Post-Start).
