The Boeing Company is seeking Flight Software Engineers to support their Flight Software Team in El Segundo, CA. The role involves leading a team in the design, implementation, and testing of flight software for current and future satellite programs, focusing on leadership, quality, earned value, and developing new capabilities. This position supports the Boeing Defense Services (BDS) business organization and the Evolved Strategic SATCOM (ESS) Mission.
Requirements
- 2+ or more years of experience designing and developing software for a real-time or non-real-time system
- 3+ years of experience in software development using languages such as C, C++, Java, Rust, or Python
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle that includes requirements analysis through Formal Qualification
- Experience using team collaboration tools including GitLab, Bitbucket, JIRA, and Confluence
- Experience in embedded real-time software development
- Experience with Wireshark or other network analysis tools and Debuggers
- Experience automating software builds, unit tests, and integration tests using a DevOps tool chain
Responsibilities
- Support the design, integration, modification, test, and debugging of software that is integrated into embedded devices and systems and meets industry, customer, safety and regulation standards
- Assist with review, analysis, and translation of customer requirements for software products for embedded devices and systems
- Support building and writing code for embedded systems software to run on specific specialized hardware.
- Contribute to integration of embedded software with hardware components
- Support analysis, monitoring and improving the efficiency and stability of embedded software systems.
- Participate in testing and debugging software for embedded devices and systems
- Responsible for satellite and payload software safety, assurance, quality, and engineering excellence.

- This position requires the ability to obtain a SECRET US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. Ability to obtain Interim-SECRET US Security clearance Pre-Start and Final-SECRET US Security clearance Post-Start
- This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
