Hermeus is focused on building high-speed products that sustainably deliver asymmetric advantage to the Department of Defense and allied partners. The Flight Software team supports vehicle testing and development for the hypersonic quarter-horse program, responsible for all software to remotely control the aircraft, command control surfaces, navigate the platform, and solve hard embedded programming issues.
Requirements
- Entry level experience of C++, C, or other embedded programming languages.
- Experience with working with hardware integrations and embedded computers (Raspberry PIs, arduinos, STM32s).
- Strong understanding of engineering first principles
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of onboard flight software
- Support debugging and resolution of active software issues
- Contribute to the design and implementation of hardware-in-the-loop test setups
- Participate in validation and testing of flight hardware
- Collaborate with the Flight Software team to meet current project needs and milestones
Other
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Demonstrated ability to work within cross-functional teams
- Enthusiasm for aviation and Hermeus' mission
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- GPA of 3.0 or above
