Boeing Test & Evaluation’s (BT&E) Northwest Flight Test team is seeking to hire a Flight Test Design & Manufacturing Engineering Manager to oversee design & manufacturing planning of flight test instrumentation installations on commercial and military aircraft programs.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with commercial, military, or commercial derivative aircraft involving design, analysis, analysis, manufacturing, procurement, assembly, integration, test, delivery and fleet support
- 1+ years of experience managing cost and schedule performance using Earned-Value Management (EVM) principles
- Flight test experience
Responsibilities
- Manage employees performing activities within multiple (2 or more) Engineering disciplines
- Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures and set operational goals
- Acquire resources for projects and processes, provide technical management of suppliers and lead process improvements
- Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
- Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Manage, develop and motivate employees
- providing liaison engineering support during build and test execution phase
Other
- 3+ years of experience leading or managing global teams
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
