Bell Textron Inc. is developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell V-280 Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) and needs a Build Support Product Manager to manage projects, coordinate with teams, and provide programmatic requirements to achieve cost, schedule, and performance objectives.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of aircraft production methodologies, demand management, inventory and warehousing, and data management
  • Strong working knowledge of the following Software Tools – Excel, SharePoint, SAP, ENOVIA, PPM
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems, assembly and integration, and industry technologies
  • Knowledge of Program or Project Management and Contracts Management principles and best practices
  • Prior experience with Military Programs and Proposals are recommended
  • Knowledge and prior experience in current Bell Centers of Excellence related to processes, capabilities, and Manufacturing Execution System or experience in military program financial management is recommended

Responsibilities

  • Manages projects between V-280 Program Teams and Manufacturing Innovation / Rapid Prototyping and Integrated Operations
  • Develops and collects programmatic metrics and supporting data to progress build (Earned Value)
  • Provides producibility direction to program leadership, operations, engineering, supply chain, and innovation teams towards achieving programmatic (cost, schedule, performance) objectives
  • Works across boundaries and leverages network to achieve concurrence and direction while solving complex issues
  • Able to apply engineering design and analysis knowledge to evaluate manufacturing discrepancies and anomalies
  • Manages build plans, project schedules, cost management, configuration management, and Customer facing engagements
  • Key contributor to program-level decision making and objectives, with expertise in Bell management systems and schedule/cost reporting

Other

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Logistics, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering is required
  • 2 years of experience in the aerospace industry
  • Must have shown knowledge and skills applied in solving cost, schedule, or technical problems by modifying existing or devising new approaches
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work, strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a team player mindset
