Tyson Foods Inc. is looking to add Food Safety & Quality Assurance interns to its team for the summer of 2026 to support various food safety and quality assurance initiatives.
Requirements
- University level studies in Poultry Science, Food Science, Meat Science, Biology, Chemistry or other related discipline with at least one year of school remaining.
- Previous laboratory, food safety and quality, and/or research and development experience is a plus
- Intermediate computer skills including statistical data analysis.
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools, and willingness to learn enterprise-wide software
Responsibilities
- sample and data collection at production facilities in support of: multi-hurdle intervention evaluations in meat and poultry products, troubleshooting food safety and food quality opportunities, process and product development and improvement
- analyze, summarize, and report out data associated with data/sample collection
- assist in quality system and food safety audits
- assist in roll out of and installation of new technologies or new products at production facilities
- assist in other FSQA projects as assigned or needed
- participate in food safety & quality assurance facility audits
- develop standardized enterprise-wide food safety & quality assurance training programs
Other
- This role is a summer only internship that requires the selected candidate to work as many as 40 hours per week during the summer.
- This role also requires the selected candidate to work in office at Tyson Foods’ Springdale, AR World Headquarters.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Extensive travel to production facilities may be required
