NIKE Kids is looking to hire a Footwear Technical Developer II to create amazing footwear for young athletes, solve problems relevant to children's development, and drive product and process excellence.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated understanding of footwear pattern engineering, tooling, and manufacturing processes.
  • A demonstrated ability to tinker, to create prototypes, to explore, learn, and to find ways to improve products through physically altering their state.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, sketches and/or 3D digital files.
  • Basic knowledge of materials, test methods, and properties and application.

Responsibilities

  • convert a project brief and a 2D design rendering into a 3D sample that meets the needs of the consumer as well as the needs of the business.
  • utilize your knowledge and experience to enhance product excellence.
  • engage in all phases of the product process to ensure projects are managed according to critical dates and completed on time, while meeting design intent, performance goals, costing/profitability and sustainability targets.
  • ensure that your projects are ready for the commercialization process and can ultimately be manufactured.
  • navigate the Nike matrix to ensure that our processes model and match NIKE Footwear Development standard methodologies for product excellence.
  • ensure that communication during the product development process is clear and accurate.
