Fletcher Group Automation is seeking a Controls Engineer with Ford BIW Start-Up Experience to advance their career and work on high-impact projects in a dynamic, team-oriented environment, specializing in the design, engineering, commissioning, and support of advanced robotic systems.
Requirements
- Experience with Fanuc robots
- Experience with ABB, KUKA, Kawasaki, and Nachi is an asset
- Experience in material handling, spot welding, MIG welding, and sealing/dispensing
- Extensive commissioning experience in automotive body shop environment
- Must Have experience in the automotive Ford standards (Next Gen/GVOSS)
- Utilize Fanuc DCS building tool models and confirm adequate setup per customer standards
- Bachelor's Degree in a related engineering or programming field
Responsibilities
- Support electrical and software design as needed
- Configure interference zones, I/O, and vision systems
- Perform robot setup including mastering, TCP, payload, and offline programs
- Troubleshoot and debug PLCs in coordination with the Controls Engineer
- Optimize cycle times and improve throughput
- Work with Fanuc robots (required); experience with ABB, KUKA, Kawasaki, and Nachi is an asset
- Apply experience in material handling, spot welding, MIG welding, and sealing/dispensing

- Ability to travel to customer sites across North America and Canada
- Valid passport and driver’s license
- Eligibility for a TN Visa
- 2–5 years of experience as a Ford BIW Robotics Start-Up Engineer
- Bachelor's Degree in a related engineering or programming field
