Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Foreign Trade Analyst to manage customs operations, import/export activities, and on-time delivery to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction within their Product Support and Logistics Division.
Requirements
- Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
- Knowledge of the techniques, tools and applications associated with coordination of internal resources; ability to synchronize and integrate activities, responsibilities, and command and control structures to ensure that internal resources are used most efficiently in pursuit of business objectives.
- Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
- Knowledge of issues, procedures, tools and practices of importing and exporting; ability to import and export goods to and from international locations.
- Knowledge of the processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials; ability to understand, predict and control the movement of goods, materials and supplies.
- Knowledge of commonly used office hardware, software and equipment; ability to use the tools available at the desktop (for example: word processing, email, presentation software, and spreadsheets.)
- Experience with ONESOURCE
- Experience with Salesforce
- Experience with PowerBi
Responsibilities
- Coordinating procedures across functions for the import and export management to ensure the execution of compliant shipments and foster a cooperative atmosphere towards customer service.
- Monitoring special programs of import/export accounts; assisting in obtaining and preparing all necessary documentations in related logistics business.

- This position requires the candidate to work a 5 day-a-week schedule in the Peoria, IL office.

- Bachelor’s degree or in lieu of degree 2+ years of experience in trade operations or management
