PVM, Inc. is seeking a Forward Deployed Software Engineer to work directly with customers to understand their most pressing challenges and develop innovative, data-driven solutions to support critical operations, enhance security, or optimize decision-making processes.

Requirements

  • Palantir Foundry and Gotham experience is highly desired
  • Strong engineering background, preferred in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, and Data Science.
  • A highly analytical mindset and eagerness to solve technical problems with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and other technical tools.
  • Experience or interest in working with and using large scale data to solve valuable business problems.
  • Strong coder with demonstrated proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar.
  • Experience with programming, scripting or statistical packages (e.g. Python, R, Matlab, SQL) is a plus.
  • Extraordinary ability to take on open-ended problems in unstructured environments.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with customers to understand their most pressing challenges and develop innovative, data-driven solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to build and deploy impactful software solutions.
  • Design scalable architectures and manage large datasets to support customer needs.
  • Develop custom applications tailored to customer workflows and operational needs.
  • Interface directly with customers to refine their workflows and optimize their processes.
  • Contribute to solving complex, real-world problems across industries such as national security, public health, and enterprise operations.
  • Bridge the gap between technology and mission success by applying problem-solving skills to ambiguous challenges.

Other

  • Active US Security clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain a US Security clearance.
  • Military/Special Operation/Law Enforcement experience.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to break down, explain, and demonstrate complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in teams of technical and non-technical individuals, and comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment with dynamic objectives and iteration with users.
  • Ability to continuously learn, work independently, and make decisions with minimal supervision.
