Promise is looking to solve the problem of helping low-income families catch up on past-due bills and access the relief they deserve by integrating their payment and relief products into existing systems of utilities and government agencies
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience building and deploying production software, with fluency in environments that require adaptability and fast learning
- Fluency in JavaScript / TypeScript, ETL tools, SQL, React
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Experience in a customer-facing technical role where you balanced empathy with technical rigor
- Curiosity & grit, with the ability to explore, experiment, and document solutions
- Collaboration skills, with the ability to work across team boundaries
- Adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Work directly with utilities and government agencies to integrate Promise’s payment and relief products into their existing systems
- Dive into customer environments, untangling complexity and crafting creative technical solutions that actually work in the real world
- Improve Promise’s products - you will have the first hand context of what works and doesn't, if you see something to build, build it!
- Join customers on-site to make sure things run smoothly and strengthen our relationships in person
- Be the bridge between Promise’s technology and customer environments
- Problem-solve in the wild, crafting creative technical solutions
- Level up the product, improving Promise’s products based on first-hand context

- Travel occasionally to join customers on-site
- Reside in the US
- US person, which includes US citizens and permanent residents (e.g., Green Card holders)
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with at least 3 days a week in-office
