Kongsberg Digital is seeking to transform the world's heaviest industries through world-leading digital twin technology and is looking for a Forward Engineering Developer to customize, configure, and deploy their KogniTwin platform and Simulation product offerings to meet customer needs
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in relevant programming languages - e.g., C++, Python, JavaScript, Java, C-Sharp
- Experience with relevant technologies - e.g., REST APIs, web services, databases (SQL, NoSQL), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), scripting languages, etc.
- Experience with software development tools (e.g., Git, Jira, Jenkins)
- Experience with the KogniTwin platform or similar industrial digital twin platforms
- Experience with Kongsberg Digital's Simulation products
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools
Responsibilities
- Solution Customization: Develop and implement customer-specific customizations to Kongsberg Digital's KogniTwin platform and Simulation products, using programming languages, scripting languages, APIs, etc. - e.g., C++, Python, JavaScript, REST APIs, KogniTwin SDK, etc.
- Configuration and Deployment: Configure and deploy Kongsberg Digital products and customized solutions in customer environments (which may be on-premise or cloud-based)
- Integration: Integrate Kongsberg Digital products with customer systems and data sources
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during implementation and deployment
- Customer Interaction: Work directly with customers to gather requirements, understand their technical environment, and provide technical support during the implementation process
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for customer-specific solutions
- Collaboration: Collaborate with project/product managers, solutions architects, core Engineering teams, and other Forward Engineering team members to ensure successful project delivery
Other
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or Engineering
- 2+ years of experience in software development, solutions engineering, or a related technical role
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed nationally and internationally. Up to 33%
