Mattoboard is looking to solve the problem of designing and working with real-world materials on the web, specifically in the underserved industry of Interior Design, by pushing the state of the art in web-based 3D, Generative AI, and Large language models.
Requirements
- Experience with web-based development
- Background in emerging AI techniques
- Familiarity with tools like Scrapy, Puppeteer, or custom crawlers
- Experience with search stacks (e.g., Elasticsearch, Typesense)
- Knowledge of large-language models (e.g., OpenAI GPT, Anthropic Claude)
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable data pipelines and storage solutions (ETL/ELT) to collect, clean, and normalize structured and unstructured data from web sources.
- Architect robust, fault-tolerant scraping systems using tools like Scrapy, Puppeteer, or custom crawlers; ensure compliance with robots.txt and rate-limiting best practices.
- Implement and optimize search stacks (e.g., Elasticsearch, Typesense) for full-text, faceted, and vector-based retrieval.
- Integrate large-language models (e.g., OpenAI GPT, Anthropic Claude) into search workflows—design prompt chains, fine-tune or embed models, and evaluate relevance metrics.
