Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking a Senior Front End Developer to help define, develop, and deploy a mission application for the Department of Defense, which will be deployed in security-compliant cloud environments using web services and Docker containers on Kubernetes clusters.

Requirements

  • React or another significant front-end architecture (like Angular or Vue)
  • Experience with automated testing, both in your development workflow and through enterprise CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with API-based services and integrations
  • Experience with enterprise-level development practices and processes
  • Experience using GitLab services
  • Experience deploying and integrating Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) software into a cloud environment
  • Experience with ADA and Section 508 compliance

Responsibilities

  • defining and implementing incremental improvements to deploy our current weapon effects software architecture
  • supporting project/product management tasking as required
  • contribute to the overall integration of the computational, analysis, and visualization capabilities of the system
  • planning and executing the development of cloud-enabled web applications
  • helping to plan the evolution of the environment
  • Build great customer experiences by developing the web-UI front-end for a vital Department of Defense service
  • Grow technically by providing input and, at times, help develop the back-end system of this service

Other

  • Secret level or higher security clearance
  • U.S. citizen with a active Secret security clearance (or higher)
  • BS in Computer Science (or related) with 8-10 years of relevant work experience
  • True problem solver with a drive to find solutions to technical challenges
  • Experience working on US Government programs
