Kalos Services is looking to build the digital backbone that keeps Florida comfortable by developing and maintaining tools that connect technicians, office staff, and customers in real-time. They need a Front-End Developer to manage public-facing WordPress sites and contribute to internal tools like their custom-built operations platform.
Requirements
- Proven experience with WordPress (custom themes, hooks, functions.php, ACF, Elementor, or similar).
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design.
- Working knowledge of RESTful APIs and JSON data handling.
- Familiarity with version control (Git/GitHub) and modern deployment workflows.
- Experience with modern frameworks such as React, Next.js, or Vue.
- Familiarity with Tailwind CSS, Material UI, or similar component libraries.
- Exposure to backend concepts (Node.js, Express, or API design).
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize WordPress-based websites and microsites.
- Implement custom themes and templates using PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Manage site integrations with APIs, form systems, and analytics tools.
- Contribute to front-end development of internal apps like Kalos Live (React, Next.js, Tailwind).
- Ensure consistent UX/UI across all Kalos digital platforms.
- Troubleshoot front-end bugs and maintain clean, reusable components.
- Optimize performance, accessibility, and responsiveness for all devices.
Other
- 3+ years professional experience in front-end web development.
- Understanding of web security, SEO best practices, and performance optimization.
- Understanding of UX principles and accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Experience managing hosting environments (e.g., WP Engine, Cloudflare, or similar).
- Strong eye for design, layout, and usability.
