Build high-quality, accessible Edge Delivery blocks for Universal Editor and document-based authoring on AEM Sites or DA sites. Add production-grade interactivity and motion. Create authoring templates that make block usage repeatable.
Requirements
- Expert HTML semantics, CSS architecture, modern JS (modules, fetch, async)
- Edge Delivery block anatomy, DOM targeting, inferred elements
- Universal Editor and document authoring basics; content modeling for blocks
- Animation and interaction patterns
- GitHub workflows and code review discipline
- Accessibility and web performance: rendering path, image optimization, lazy loading, CWV
- AEM Sites basics; HTL/Sling awareness for migration parity
Responsibilities
- Design and build blocks (HTML, CSS, JS [ES modules]) with options and variants
- Set up local dev with AEM CLI; run preview and publish with Sidekick
- Optimize for Core Web Vitals and Lighthouse
- Create and maintain authoring templates (sections, block placeholders, Metadata tables) for Universal Editor and document authoring
- Wire templates to Sidekick create flows
- Add images and video using AEM Assets or Dynamic Media
- Implement interactivity and animations: micro‑interactions, scroll‑based reveals, carousels, tabs, accordions, modals

- This is a 6 month contract
- Pair with QA to create Playwright tests and baseline accessibility checks
- Playwright, Lighthouse CI, axe‑core
