MissionStaff is looking to fill a contract Front-end Developer position for their client to build and maintain high-performance, user-centered web applications that deliver exceptional digital experiences.
Requirements
- Proficiency in React JS, HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Experience with Next JS, server-side rendering, and Tailwind CSS.
- Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and web performance optimization.
- Familiarity with Git workflows and collaborative development environments.
- Experience with TypeScript, testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress), or CSS-in-JS solutions.
- Knowledge of headless CMS, JAMstack architecture, SEO, and Progressive Web Apps (PWAs).
Responsibilities
- Develop responsive, interactive web applications using React JS, Next JS, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established standards and best practices.
- Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and performance through techniques such as lazy loading and code splitting.
- Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility for consistent user experiences.
- Build reusable UI components and contribute to shared component libraries.
- Implement and maintain automated testing (unit, integration, and end-to-end).
- Ensure accessibility compliance (WCAG, ADA) and inclusive design standards.

- 3+ years of experience in front-end development with strong JavaScript fundamentals.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Portfolio demonstrating strong code quality, performance, and user experience principles.
