Command Cyber Solutions (CCS) is seeking a Front-End Developer, SME to join their team to serve as a technical authority on user interface design and implementation for the IRS Business Tax Account (BTA) modernization initiative, ensuring compliance, security, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Proficiency in React, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS and Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of federal design standards including USWDS, ODG, and WCAG 2.2 AA
- Experience with automated testing tools such as Jest, Cypress, Selenium
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like GitHub and Jenkins
- Certifications: CompTIA Sec (or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II), AWS Certified Developer – Associate or Solutions Architect – Associate (preferred)
- Certified Scrum Developer (preferred), CSSLP or similar (preferred), CPACC or WAS (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical authority on front-end architecture, frameworks, and accessibility compliance for IRS applications
- Design and develop responsive, accessible, and user-friendly web interfaces using React, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Ensure adherence to federal standards such as USWDS, ODG, and WCAG 2.2 AA through code reviews and best practices
- Collaborate with product owners, UX/UI designers, and back-end developers to define technical approaches and deliver scalable UI components
- Optimize front-end performance, API integration, and implement secure coding practices
- Support CI/CD deployment processes using tools like GitHub Actions and Jenkins, including automated testing
- Mentor junior and senior developers, conducting code reviews and sharing best practices in accessibility, security, and performance
Other
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a front-end developer, with at least 7 years in a senior or SME role on government or enterprise projects
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust/MBI clearance
- Excellent communication and mentorship skills
- Travel may be required for periodic on-site engagements
