Enlighten is looking for a Frontend Developer to build and maintain critical applications that enable users to search across trillions of records and execute hundreds of thousands of queries daily for the Department of Defense (DoD).
Requirements
- Proficiency in JavaScript and experience with at least one web application framework such as Vue, React, Angular, or Backbone.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Comfortable working on a *nix command line environment.
- Develop and review code using JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and Vue 3, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Define, interact with, and troubleshoot RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless data integration.
- Write unit tests and perform quality assurance testing to maintain high standards of application reliability and performance.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of web applications to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
- Develop and review code using JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and Vue 3, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Collaborate closely with designers, backend engineers, and data scientists to build comprehensive and user-friendly interfaces.
- Define, interact with, and troubleshoot RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless data integration.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve customer-reported issues in applications, providing timely support and solutions.
- Write unit tests and perform quality assurance testing to maintain high standards of application reliability and performance.
- Participate in team meetings, code reviews, and knowledge sharing to foster continuous improvement.

- U.S. Citizenship required; current U.S. Government Security Clearance preferred (Secret or TS level). Can consider candidates without clearance.
- Minimum of 9 years of experience in front-end software development or engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; or 7 years relevant experience with a Master’s degree; or 13 years relevant experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze information and compile data effectively.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple issues simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote or hybrid setting.
