Abbott is seeking a Software Engineer to join their ADC Diabetes Care division to develop cutting-edge SaaS cloud platforms aimed at transforming diabetes management by building scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions that support millions of users globally.
Requirements
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS, TypeScript, and JavaScript
- Experience with modern front-end build tools and pipelines
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git
- Understanding of web standards, best practices, and performance optimization
- Hands-on experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices
- Familiarity with design systems and Figma design tokens
- Experience conducting code reviews and ensuring code quality
Responsibilities
- Design and develop reusable front-end components and libraries for future use
- Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high-quality, performant code
- Optimize components for cross-device and cross-browser compatibility
- Build new user-facing features using React.js and modern JavaScript frameworks
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to integrate APIs that enable users to share and analyze their medical data securely
- Write maintainable, testable, and scalable code, including comprehensive unit tests
- Work closely with InfoSec teams to implement secure coding practices and solutions

- Minimum of 3 years of software development experience in an Agile environment
- Strong motivation to learn new software skills and technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams, including distributed teams
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
