Bounteous is looking for a Senior React Developer to translate creative designs into transformative, performant web experiences, collaborating with API and back-end developers to design front-end components and deliver web experiences to millions of users.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience writing code in an object oriented language and/or web frontend framework and developing automated tests
  • Experience developing to inclusive design best practices, up to and beyond meeting Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standards
  • Deep technical understanding of web standards and cross-browser compatibility and behaviors
  • Demonstrated experience with well-organized & structured markup (HTML, CSS, LESS)
  • Demonstrated experience with JavaScript, including React, as well as jQuery, JSON, and XML
  • Experience with newer CSS concepts such as feature queries, grid layout, scss, etc.
  • Experience with building, maintaining and optimizing responsive web apps; proficient at writing reusable UI code.

Responsibilities

  • Program software solutions in accordance with business requirements
  • Participate in product strategy, design, and product discussions with internal teams to determine how to deliver the best experience for users
  • Communicate codebase capabilities and constraints to the product team to ensure requirements map to codebase capabilities
  • Engage in knowledge sharing opportunities for the engineering team
  • Collaborate with Engineering and internal teams to deliver a best-in-class customer experience
  • Connect with the software development community and track latest trends and emerging technologies
  • Mentor developers on software development techniques, standards, and best practices.

Other

  • Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices, including acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, and password security protocols
  • Identify, assess, and report security risks, focusing on how these risks impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets
  • Understand and evaluate how data is stored, processed, or transmitted, ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
  • Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle to safeguard sensitive information
  • Should have good understanding of information security procedures (such as information security incident reporting) and baseline controls (such as password security, malware controls and clear desks).
