RouteSmart Technologies is seeking a Front-End Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain multiple websites, focusing on creating intuitive user interfaces and seamless navigation to enhance transportation efficiency and operational productivity.
Requirements
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript best practices
- Hands-on experience with ReactJS and Material UI frameworks
- Strong understanding of UI design principles and cross-browser compatibility
- Knowledge of web application security, session management, and development best practices
- Experience integrating with back-end services and databases
- Familiarity with GIS and mapping services is highly advantageous
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot code errors efficiently
Responsibilities
- Create and implement website layouts and user interfaces using standard HTML and CSS practices
- Write clean, testable, and efficient code following software development best practices
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve coding errors to ensure smooth operation
- Integrate data from various back-end services and databases to enhance functionality
- Collaborate with web designers and other team members to match visual design intent
- Research and adopt new industry standards and coding practices to improve application security and performance
- Develop and maintain web applications using JavaScript frameworks such as ReactJS and Material UI
Other
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a UX designer and web developer/programmer
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- This position offers a hybrid work environment, requiring candidates to commute to our offices in Melville, NY, or Columbia, MD several days a week.
- Remote candidates residing within 50 miles of these locations will be considered, and those in specified states may also be eligible for remote work arrangements.
