Pantex is looking for a Front End Web Developer to design, develop, configure, and maintain websites and subsequent content for the company’s internal and external web communications, ensuring section 508 compliance and adherence to company branding standards.
Requirements
- Expert in at least one modern JavaScript framework/library such as React, Angular, or Vue.js, typescript, and Hypertext Markup Language (HTML).
- Expert using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) techniques & frameworks (CSS Grid, Flexbox, etc.).
- Expert utilizing JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) for front-end components and code.
- Expert consuming Application Programming Interfaces (API’s) from backend services.
- Experience with secure application development and secure protocols.
- Knowledge of tools such as SonarQube, Sonatype Nexus, Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.
- Experience with automated testing and tools used such as Playwright, Selenium, etc.
Responsibilities
- Develop front-end code for a variety of web-based applications in unclassified environments.
- Work with backend developers to integrate frontend components with server-side logic and Application Programming Interfaces (API).
- Develop and implement custom logging for web analytics.
- Implement and maintain robust testing strategies to ensure the quality and reliability of frontend components.
- Maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines in a development and Information Technology operations (DevOps) environment.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with team members.
- Consult with customers on web requirements, adhere to company branding standards, and provide guidance in design and development of new websites.

- Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
- Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP).
