Mojang Studios, the creators of Minecraft, is seeking to build a better world through the power of play by crafting modern, engaging web experiences for the global Minecraft community.

Requirements

  • 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience implementing applications using JavaScript and HTML, with an understanding of modern web standards and browser behaviors.
  • 1+ years of experience using version control systems similar to Git.
  • 2+ years of experience solving technical challenges in web application development, including debugging, performance optimization, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Experience with CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), TypeScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React).
  • Understanding web accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.
  • Experience building responsive and accessible web user interfaces, with attention to performance and usability.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver delightful, business-critical web experiences that meet high standards of quality, performance, and reliability.
  • Apply modern engineering best practices to build responsive, accessible, and scalable web solutions that are easy to maintain and extend.
  • Collaborate across Mojang teams to understand product needs and translate them into impactful web solutions.
  • Build and nurture cross-discipline relationships to ensure cohesive, player-focused experiences that reflect the spirit of Minecraft.
  • Build an understanding of customer needs to inform design and implementation decisions.
