At ABB, the business problem is to design and implement user interfaces for ABB’s SaaS products within the Electrification Service (ELSE) division to deliver an exceptional user experience.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in front-end development, particularly with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React
- Proficiency in designing, developing, and optimizing SaaS applications in a cloud-native environment (Azure preferred)
- Strong knowledge of UI/UX principles and best practices
- Experience with SQL query design and database management, including relational and NoSQL databases
- Proficient in .NET framework and related technologies, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming
- Experience with API integration, third-party services, and tools such as Postman
- Familiarity with design tools like Figma and Storybook
Responsibilities
- Design and develop responsive, user-centric web interfaces for ABB’s cloud-native SaaS platform, utilizing Azure services to ensure scalability, security, and high performance
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, and back-end engineers to translate requirements into scalable front-end solutions
- Optimize web applications for performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility across various devices
- Maintain and enhance the design language system, ensuring consistency in visual styles, components, and branding
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React
- Integrate APIs and third-party services to enable real-time data visualization and collection
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging activities to uphold high standards of quality and reliability
Other
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
- Fluency in English; additional languages such as Spanish are a plus
