The Executive Fuels Product Management Leader will lead the end-to-end management of our nuclear fuel portfolio. They will own both market share and margin performance for the Nuclear Fuels business, and partner with our Nuclear Fuel Manufacturing Leader to ensure our focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost, in that order. They will work across Fuels team and the broader Installed Base team to drive outcomes aligned to share and margin improvement.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive experience in the nuclear industry, with a minimum of 5 years in fuel cycle management or product management roles.
- Deep understanding of nuclear fuel technologies, market dynamics, licensing and safety standards, supplier ecosystems and risk management, along with strong leadership and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Demonstrated experience aligning customer and market requirements to product strategy and plans.
- Demonstrated experience managing NPI investment and execution.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the product lifecycle of nuclear fuel assemblies, ensuring optimization of performance, safety and cost
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, regulatory, finance and legal teams to align fuel product strategies with plant needs and Installed Base business goals.
- Drive continuous improvement across the fuel program and integrate lessons learned from operational experience
- Monitor global nuclear fuel market trends, geopolitical risks, and regulatory changes to guide product and investment decisions.
- Work with Sourcing to develop risk mitigation strategies for fuel supply disruptions and evolving compliance requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable NRC, DOE and international regulatory requirements.
- Lead evaluation and potential adoption of advanced nuclear fuel technologies ( e.g. accident-tolerant fuels, high-assay low-enriched uranium (HALEU)
Other
- Develop and execute long term strategies for the Nuclear fuel products
- Manage/cultivate customer relationships including the Fuels Director level across the fleet of customers
- This role will include board seats in the following joint ventures: Global Nuclear Fuel (GNF), and Global Nuclear Fuel-Japan (GNF-J) and ENUSA.
- Manage the nuclear fuels budget, cost forecasts and financial reporting
- Proven track record in executive leadership, strategic planning, and complex stakeholder management
