Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology is looking for a full-stack technologist to help build next-generation applications and platforms supporting prospect management and integrated firm-building initiatives, aiming to provide consistent, trusted, and integrated business information across all platforms and delivery channels.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience in design, development and implementation of complex software system and applications utilizing Java 1.8 or higher & modern UI frameworks -Angular
- Hands-on development experience in writing REST APIs with sprint boot.
- Strong working experience in relational databases such as DB2/SQL Server etc.
- Hands on experience with modern distributed technologies such as messaging brokers (e.g. Apache Kafka)
- Experience in container platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiar with version control systems like Git/GitHub/Bitbucket.
- Familiar with build tools like Gradle and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, TeamCity etc.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members to understand the business problem to develop solutions
- Participate in design discussions, whiteboarding the solution and effectively communicating the designs to other team members
- Develop software solutions in a lean-agile methodology to bring the solutions quickly to the partners and improve, optimize, and repeat in an accelerated development cycle
- Take accountability in the delivery of the solutions within the deadline, adhering to the company's compliance and development standards
- Create technical documentation for the product, business user guide, and other runbooks both for managing the applications and to onboard new users easily
- Research and learn new technologies quickly and work in parallel balancing the ongoing tasks, research tasks, production support, and mentoring others
Other
- Educational Requirements: Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Engineering, preferably Computer Science/Engineering
- The ability to write reusable, optimized, maintainable code that is well documented and follows industry-standard best practices
- Good problem solving and analytical skills
- Experience working in Agile development methodologies.
- Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $105,000 to $115,000 per year
