Chenega MIOS is seeking a Full-stack Developer to maintain, enhance, and modernize a cloud-based Data Platform used for secure data ingestion, discovery, analysis, and storage, supporting critical government operations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-stack development experience in both frontend and backend environments
- 3+ years of recent hands-on experience with Node.js and Java with Spring Framework
- Proven experience deploying applications in AWS, including services such as CodeBuild, CodeCommit, Lambda, RDS, and Redshift
- Experience with CI/CD tools, particularly migrating or configuring pipelines in Atlassian Bamboo and Bitbucket
- Strong background integrating with relational databases like PostgreSQL/PostGIS
Responsibilities
- Maintain, enhance, and refactor backend services developed in Node.js and Spring (Java), including undocumented legacy APIs
- Support redevelopment and re-deployment of platform components to improve maintainability and system reliability
- Create and migrate CI/CD pipelines from AWS CodeBuild/CodeDeploy/CodeCommit to Bamboo/Bitbucket for streamlined automation
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to integrate services with analytical tools like Redshift, SAS, R, Python, ArcGIS, and Postgres/PostGIS
- Enhance the user interface and user experience to facilitate intuitive data discovery and access
- Implement application security measures, including role-based access controls and data privacy protections
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and troubleshooting across the application stack to ensure high-quality deliverables

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
