Momentum Engineering, Inc. is seeking a full stack developer to maintain, debug, and advance the features of a production system by working effectively as one of several developers on a team.

Requirements

  • Three years of Java, Python and SQL experience or certifications
  • Three years of JavaScript and React experience or certifications
  • One year of experience with Material UI
  • AWS developer associate or higher certification
  • Experience with the Java Hibernate Object Relational Mapper
  • Experience with software testing to include unit testing and the use of testing frameworks on both the backend and frontend
  • Familiarity and experience with the Intelligence Community (IC), and the intel cycle

Responsibilities

  • Define, assign, and resolve bugs, features, and tasks to enhance or maintain a production codebase using Git source code management within an agile software development team
  • Effectively modify backend services, including cloud serverless artifacts and databases, as well as frontend user interface components, to merge quality software into an operational IC system
  • Participate in multiple weekly agile development working sessions to ensure timely releases of bug fixes and new features
  • Participate in peer reviews of merge requests from team members
  • Perform pre-release testing of bug fixes and new features
  • Maintain, debug, and advance the features of the production system by working effectively as one of several developers on a team
  • Understand how to use Git source control, Jira ticketing for bugs and features, and documentation development on Confluence

Other

  • Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or related fields requiring extensive use of software development, or, equivalently, three years of demonstrated, practical experience in software development
  • Ability to be on-site 60% of the time at a client SCIF located in Washington, D.C
  • Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with team members
