Leidos is seeking a strong applications developer to join the Traveler Processing and Vetting Solutions (TPVS) Program supporting the Passenger Systems Program Directorate (PSPD) within Customs and Border Protection (CBP). PSPD supports the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and CBP critical missions, specifically screening and processing travelers at the ports of entry (POEs) into the United States. The position is focused on delivering performance-based IT services and repeatable solutions in a cloud-based, large-scale enterprise environment with the goal of learning new technologies to optimize efficiency and improve performance.
Requirements
- Experience with agile-based implementations
- Experience evaluating business needs, refining requirements to identify appropriate solutions, and ability to resolve difficult issues
- Knowledge of workflows and rules engines
- Experience in Java
- Experience working with PostgeSQL and AWS
- Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD)/Behavioral-Driven Development (BDD)
- Experience applying a continuous integration/deployment approach to project or program delivery
Responsibilities
- Learn and support the implementation of workflow and rules technology integration across multiple applications
- Identify and resolve technical issues that arise
- Employ ingenuity and creativity to develop new technical solutions and systems to achieve functional objectives

- This position REQUIRES the candidate to be in Ashburn, VA, twice a week
- Provide assistance and support for less experienced team members
