South College needs a Full Stack Developer to build and maintain custom web portals and integrate various academic and administrative systems to enhance the experience of students, faculty, and staff, and improve institutional efficiency and student outcomes.
Requirements
- Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React or Angular).
- Strong back-end development skills (C-Sharp, .NET, Node.js, or similar).
- Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL).
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and system integration techniques.
- Understanding of secure coding practices and data privacy standards.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and DevOps practices.
- Experience in higher education or similar institutional environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain custom web portals for students, faculty, and staff.
- Ensure responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces across devices.
- Implement secure authentication and role-based access controls.
- Develop and maintain integrations between the college’s SIS, LMS, CRM, and other enterprise systems.
- Build and consume RESTful APIs to facilitate data exchange across platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application performance and data flow
- Implement secure coding practices and ensure applications comply with FERPA and other relevant regulations.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in full stack development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure applications meet institutional needs.
- Document system architecture, workflows, and codebase for maintainability
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
