Policy Reporter aims to build and maintain a comprehensive database of payer policy data that is accurate, up to date, and relevant for pharmaceutical, medical device, and diagnostics manufacturers, as well as academic institutions and provider groups.
Requirements
- 5+ years building a variety of web applications
- Experience working with React, webpack, and other modern web development toolchains
- Strong competency with the React framework on both greenfield and brownfield projects
- Experience writing and reading RESTful APIs
- Very comfortable with PostgreSQL
- Experience with using AI Tools like Cursor AI or Amazon Q/Kiro
- Strong understanding of common web exploits with knowledge on how to prevent them
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership to the team, including code reviews and mentorship on software development best practices
- Proactively identify roadblocks, analyze situations, coordinate troubleshooting and problem-solving activities
- Contribute to projects with a mix of front-end and back-end code depending on the project
- Work towards departmental goals like improving accuracy of technical project estimates and code quality
- Act as a project's technical lead and collaborate with teams outside of Engineering to ensure stakeholders understand project goals and timelines
- Ensure proper follow-up for post-incident analysis and implement necessary process improvements
- Raise issues and risks early and work on solutions for difficult problems
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
- Great communication skills (written and verbal), and be a fast learner
- This is a remote, 40 hour per week, contract-based engagement offered under an Independent Contractor Agreement
