Vertex Inc. is building a custom certification management site to prepare for ISO 17024 accreditation. The Full Stack Developer Intern will contribute to new features for this platform, including integrations, assessment scheduling forms, and candidate management workflows.
Requirements
- Experience with Python and basic web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Familiarity with GitHub workflows and testing practices
- Strong interest in full stack development and cloud-native applications
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain features for a greenfield certification platform with long-term scalability
- Gain exposure to API design, database management, and dynamic UI development
- Troubleshoot AWS deployments, read logs, and understand how components fit together
- Write documentation for existing systems and contribute to new feature development
- Contribute to new features such as integrations with third-party assessment platforms, forms for assessment scheduling, and workflows for managing candidates
- Gain hands-on experience across the stack—from database models to UI components and AWS deployment

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team
- Curiosity and initiative to explore new technologies and solve real-world problems
- Students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields, with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and Spring/Summer 2028.

- Prior internship experience is helpful but not required
