The business problem JetBlue is looking to solve is the development, testing, and documentation of sophisticated web and mobile applications involving both front and backend components, to provide value to the business and operational support as required.

Requirements

• Strong Javascript and solid skill in AngularJS 6 or higher
• Strong Java skills, solid in Java 8 or higher
• Experience with RESTful services, JSON, and SOAP-based services
• Experience using Git
• Demonstrated ability to code complex full-stack designs in a modular, well architected manner; experience with responsive/adaptive design, and efficient middleware communication
• One (1) year in AngularJS and some experience with AngularJS 6 or higher, as well as one (1) year in Java, with knowledge of Java 8 and above, as well as Java Reactive Extensions
• Previous knowledge with micro service development using GRPC and websockets

Responsibilities

• Develop, design, code, debug and document web and mobile web interface applications in a variety of front-end software languages (e.g., strong Javascript and solid skill in AngularJS 6 or higher) and back-end software languages (e.g., strong Java skills, solid in Java 8 or higher)
• Understanding of a wide variety of middleware technologies including MQ, HTTP (REST), GRPC, and Web Sockets
• Ability to create service responses in multiple formats including JSON, XML, and Protobuffers
• Design, write, and implement unit tests and end to end tests for UI/Javascript and Java
• Analyze system specifications and create project estimates
• Participate in code reviews to ensure high quality and consistent coding practices
• Partner with data center operations and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless deployments, proper documentation and support for applications

• Available for moderate overnight travel (up to 35%)
• In possession of valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
• Able to work flexible hours and be available for emergency response on short notice
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test
• Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
