ICF's Health Engineering Solutions (HES) team is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to improve patient quality care and consumer decision-making by collecting, computing, and publicly reporting outcomes-based hospital quality measure data for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Hospital Quality Reporting (HQR). The goal is to develop a human-centric reporting system that allows refinement, filtering, and data comparison, as well as the ability to view supplemental information.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with modern design patterns and building enterprise-grade production applications, as well as experience with version control tools, such as Git
- 3+ years of experience testing code builds and deployment properly through Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment processes, built in Jenkins other tools

Responsibilities
- Design and build microservices and serverless applications in the cloud
- Implement web application changes and/or build new web applications using the Angular framework
- Work with Product Owner and UX design to understand and create solutions for diverse user requirements
- Work with Architects and other Engineers to help create and then implement development best practices
- Work with test engineering team to assure product quality
- Collaborate in a fast-paced Agile environment
- Participate in team code reviews and design reviews
Other
- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
- Candidate must reside in the U.S., be authorized to work in the U.S., and all work must be performed in the U.S.
- U.S. Citizenship or Green Card is highly prioritized due to federal contract requirements
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies is a must
- Work with Product Owner and UX design to understand and create solutions for diverse user requirements
