Hammer Media is looking for a Full Stack Engineer to help build and maintain their digital products, specifically the DollarWise financial health platform, to empower users to improve their money habits and take control of their financial future.
Requirements
- 4-6 years of full stack development experience building modern web applications
- Strong proficiency in PHP (Laravel framework) and Vue.js with solid understanding of best practices
- Experience with RESTful APIs, database design and optimization (MySQL/PostgreSQL), and modern development workflows
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Vercel, DigitalOcean) and deployment processes
- Understanding of version control, testing practices, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with performance optimization and debugging complex applications
- Understanding of web security best practices and data handling considerations
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain complex features across our full stack, working on both frontend and backend systems
- Build robust backend services with focus on performance, reliability, and clean code practices
- Create responsive, user-friendly frontend interfaces that deliver great user experiences
- Implement API integrations and work with database systems to support application functionality
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following established patterns and best practices
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development standards across the team
- Take ownership of feature development from planning through deployment and monitoring

- This role is based in our Austin, TX office and requires you to come in 5 days a week.
