General Motors (GM) is seeking an experienced Staff Full Stack Engineer to join their AI Lifecycle Team to develop state-of-the-art AI solutions that support the future of autonomous vehicles. The role will focus on building scalable, high-quality frontend and backend applications, enhancing system observability and operational excellence, and designing robust frameworks for UX and backend workflows to enable ML engineers to efficiently manage data collection, model training, evaluation, and deployment processes within the autonomous vehicle ecosystem.
Requirements
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in building production-level frontend applications using React, Angular, WebGL, or similar frameworks
- Proven experience in deploying and operating high-availability backend services
- Strong understanding of enterprise and systems architecture, including standards, frameworks, and practices
- Programming proficiency in Python, Java, and Go
- Experience working with cloud infrastructure, automation, configuration management, and artifact management
- Hands-on experience developing advanced CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to design scalable, maintainable, and secure system architectures
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend integrations to provide a seamless experience across the ML lifecycle
- Enhance system observability, debuggability, and operational excellence to support scalable AI solutions
- Partner with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and design UX and backend frameworks accordingly
- Build and improve end-to-end workflows for data collection, model training, evaluation, and deployment
- Ensure data quality and integrity across all stages of the AI lifecycle
- Contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable enterprise systems
- Implement automation and CI/CD solutions to streamline development and deployment processes
