Forward Air, Inc. is seeking to enhance its warehouse inventory management systems within the logistics sector by developing scalable, reliable, and high-performance applications
Requirements
- 2-4 years of professional experience working with Node.js, with a strong emphasis on TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with ORMs such as Prisma or TypeORM
- Proficiency in unit testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Vitest
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional development teams for at least two years
- Proven expertise in developing complex, event-driven, high-performance, resilient systems
- Certification in cloud development, particularly with Azure, is advantageous
- Solid understanding of cloud-native architectures and best practices for scalable application design
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of full-time and contract developers to deliver high-quality software solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and agile processes.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developers, product owners, and analysts, facilitating effective prioritization and timely delivery of features.
- Collaborate with technical leads, architects, and senior stakeholders to define and refine the technical vision, strategy, and roadmap for warehouse management applications.
- Conduct code reviews, oversee QA processes, and coordinate with front-end, back-end, and business analysis teams to ensure comprehensive and seamless solutions from design to deployment.
- Lead the design and development of scalable and reliable APIs and frontend components using Node.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL.
- Establish and enforce best practices for system architecture, ensuring consistency, security, and high quality across all application layers.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external teams to ensure seamless integration and interoperability of systems.

- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred; however, equivalent work experience will be considered
